What is Faithkidz?
Faithkidz is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids, birth through fourth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!
Who Attends Faithkidz?
ALL children (babies through 4th grade) attend Faithkidz each Sunday and Wednesday! We are passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand.
What is Available for Nursing Moms?
A mom’s private room is available in our chapel for moms and babies who are nursing. This is a “Moms Only” room for women who are nursing their babies. Pastor's message is played so they won't miss the message.
Age Appropriateness
We are passionate about children learning about Jesus in a way they understand. Our environments and lesson materials are created based on the physical, mental and emotional needs of each child.
Safety
We believe that safety is vital as families entrust us with their children each week. Therefore, every child’s sticker has a randomly selected identification number that changes each service, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored with security personnel.
Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities, stories and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
Fun!
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus.
First Time at Faithkidz?
Look for the Kids Check-in center. We will meet your family and check your child into our database system. Once your family is checked in, one of our volunteers will be happy to show you the age appropriate room we have created for your child.
We will ask for the following personal information: family member’s names, children’s names and birth dates, family address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
You and your child will be given matching identification stickers that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear one of your matching stickers which bears a code that is matched to your sticker during checkout at the end of the service. During checkout, you will return to the Check-in Station and show your sticker in order for your child to be released back to you.
On your way home, be sure to ask your child: “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?”
A Special Note
If for some reason your child were to need you during the service, your identification code (located on the sticker you received during check-in) would appear on the screens in the auditorium and foyer. We would ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and go to the kids check in station and a staff member will direct you to your child.
What Should I Expect When I Return to Faithkidz?
As you enter Faithkidz, your first stop should be at our Kid's Check-in Stations where a friendly volunteer will check your child in for the service. Our check-in stations open 30 minutes prior to the start of each service. Check-in Station volunteers can scan your key ring card or they will need the last four digits of your phone number or your child’s full name in order for us to locate your family in our database system.
You will receive a set of stickers with a family identification number for you and for your child. Your child will wear the sticker with his or her name. Please hold on to your portion of the sticker until checkout at the end of the service. You will need it to check your child out of Faithkidz. No child is released unless the matching identification sticker is presented.
If for some reason you were to lose your identification sticker, please go directly to our Faithkidz Check-In Station.
Thanks for checking out Faithkidz!
What ministries are available to Faithkidz?
- Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ)
- "Equipping Kids with Knowledge of the Bible"
Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) is a quick-recall discipleship ministry for children grades K - 6 that helps promote an in-depth understanding of God's Word while learning teamwork, thinking under pressure and Christlike behavior in competitions.
Focusing on memorizing scriptures and facts about the Bible, JBQ teams go head-to-head with other churches in local, state, regional and national competitions.
JBQ is a team game and study material is assigned according to a child’s strengths. Every quizzer is given the opportunity to be a starter on a team. A typical child who completes the program memorizes over 300 Biblical facts, including nearly 100 scripture quotations. Ninety-five percent of Junior Bible Quizzers who complete the entire program stay with the Lord through adulthood.
Please visit our Faithkidz Check-In Station or the Welcome Center to sign up or if you have any questions.
