What are the next steps?

SALVATION THROUGH JESUS
Salvation is a free gift that we cannot earn. We must accept it by faith and confess it with our mouth. John 3:16 says, " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus is the only way to Heaven and he said so in his word. John 14:6, " Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 11:25, "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."

WATER BAPTISM

The Bible clearly teaches us that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a believer to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to Christ. People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? I’ve already been baptized. Do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked?

Take a few minutes to read these Baptism Facts (PDF).

When is the next Baptism?
We have baptism services the first Sunday, every other month immediately after church in our chapel. Our next baptism service is Sunday, March 4th. If you would like to be baptized please go to our Welcome Center and fill out a registration card. Or print your registration card, fill it out and turn it in.

COMMIT TO MEMBERSHIP

The purpose of becoming a member of Victory Life Church is to give people the opportunity to exercise a higher level of commitment to their church family.  For instance, in Acts 2:42 it states,”And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

The Greek word for “fellowship” is “Koinonia”, which means that which is held in common, that which is shared.

What church membership is not.

    • It does not mean that you are automatically born-again.
  1. It does not mean you are more of a Christian than those who are not members.
  2. It does not give you any authority over the pastor or the church.

What church membership is and its true purpose.

  1. To provide fellowship with those of like faith.
  2. To demonstrate the power of unity.
  3. According to 1 Corinthians 1:10, that we all strive to help one another share the same vision and speak the same thing. If you would like to become a member please go to our Welcome Center and fill out a membership card. Or print your membership card, fill it out and turn it in.

VOLUNTEER TIME & TALENT

Who are Volunteers?

Victory volunteers are members of the church who work together to serve our church body and others in the community to advance the Kingdom for Jesus. Volunteering in the local church is important to your personal relationship with God and your church family. Matthew 23:11 says, "But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant." Pastor's are looking for those who will help them fulfill their God-given calling and mission.
